China has confirmed that it will impose a 25% tariff on 16 billion US dollars of imports from August 23. These duties will come into effect at 12:01 p.m. Beijing time and the US tariff. The tax products include 1.83 billion US dollars of wood products and logs.
 
China's Commerce Ministry warned in a statement on Friday, August 3 that if the United States continues to impose tariffs, China will increase tariffs by 5, 10, 20 or 25 percent on 5207 U.S. imports.
